My 2 oldest grandchildren will be starting to school Wednesday. I can't believe that the summer with them has passed so quickly. They sure do dread going, but I know that there is some excitement in getting to see friends again that they haven't seen since last spring.
Today is my day with them and shortly we are going to town for them to spend their allowance and possibly go to the movies. The morning has been spent playing games on the Playstation, watching Nick TV and last time I looked the living room floor was full of toys as they set up their "town" using the Fisher-Price toys their dad played with as a child! One thing for sure, we have gotten our money's worth from those toys!
I am so thankful for the time with them. It is truly a blessing to be able to be at home and have days like today with them, although sometimes it requires refereeing fusses! I absolutely believe being a grandparent is one of God's greatest blessings!
Sounds like you had a great morning with your grandchildren. Three of mine visited with us for over month and while it was very loud and busy during their visit, we enjoyed the quietness when they went home.
ReplyDeleteOur schools don't go back into session until the first part of September, so the kids are still enjoying their summer vacation.
